Ladies and gentlemen, it’s a Fashion Face Off.  It’s like that movie with John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, only without the 2 hours of wasted life you’ll never get back.  It’s my lovely lady (@Haiku_Ambulance) featured on the Forever 21 blog against an equally as talented Song of Style.

And while I’m sure both of the girls aren’t really into being paired up against each other in the style arena, I still get excited for the love of my life and sometimes get this really weird “I’m proud of you” vibe.  And I am.

SXSW 2011: Squarespace maple bacon doughnuts, are you on a website?

Now that more than a month has gone by, it’s about time to talk about SXSW 2011 on this here blog.

First off, it was a blast.  The sessions have been seriously beefed up since the last time I’ve been to SXSW, some 6 years ago.  I actually couldn’t believe that much time had passed, so it was nice to catch up with old friends and colleagues on the streets of Austin.

Back to thesessions though, they were honestly some of the best sessions I’ve been to in the past 3 years of going to conferences.  AEA, FOWD, FOWA, PubCon…all GREAT conferences, do not get me wrong.  But SXSW took the cake for me.

Mr. Nathan Evans (@jnathanevans), who heads up our video services at Location3 was my room partner.  What this means for you is that I am in more video coverage than you probably care to see.  Nah, that’s not true is it?  You love seeing me in video.

New Website with Portfolio

It’s on the way, my new website equipped with a portfolio section, events calendar and other sorts of things. Hense the default 2010 theme for now. Stick with me.

After I get this thing up, I do plan on giving my blog more attention in 2011 and beyond.  I know I don’t have to tell anyone that finding time to blog can be difficult.  But I want to make it a priority.  And I will, AsGodIsMyWitness…whatever that means.

iPad 2 Almost Here?

I’m hearing a ton of great chatter (if true) that the iPad 2 is right around the corner, and will include a higher quality display and front/back facing cameras.  This is the very reason I’ve held off on grabbing an iPad for myself.

Having said that, I’m not sure it makes a difference for me in regards to picking one up.  My mind has shifted somewhat.  I’m digging the 11-inch Macbook Air personally.  But I’ve already got my 15-inch Macbook Pro, so I go back and forth about whether buying the 11-inch Air is just buying another laptop, and is that really necessary?

At the end of the day I want something super portable, lightweight but powerful enough to do what needs to be done.  I like the idea of being able to grab the 11-inch Air in my hand and walk out the door, which I could do with the iPad as well.  But not the Pro, which is substantially heftier.

I don’t know, I’m rambling.  Just can’t make up my mind.  Maybe I’ll just wait until the iPad 2 comes out and see where the chips fall.
